Monticello School District is excited to bring back a community event in January!
Patron Day! This will be an opportunity for members of the community to receive a behind-the-scenes tour of the district, and learn more about the daily happenings in our buildings! This event will be Thursday, January 24th.
The event on the 24th starts at 8 a.m. at Eastview Education Center. It travels around the district, before ending up back at Eastview. Join fellow Monticello community members on a free, guided behind-the-scenes tour of ISD 882's buildings and grounds that includes a look into classrooms and other learning spaces, as well as lunch with students!
This unique full-day event will allow for interactions with administration and a chance to see some of the amazing things that happen daily in buildings across the Monticello School District. The schedule for that day looks like this, with times being approximate and subject to change:
8 a.m. - Meet at the Eastview Education Center Stop includes overview of the day, and a look at recent construction and innovative EEC programming, highlighted by a coffee stop with C5 students and classroom visits.
10 a.m. - Hoglund Transportation to MHS (and ensuing stops) with Narration Provided Stop includes visit with counselors and administration, who will provide highlights of safety/security updates and high school programming.
11:20 a.m. - Arrive at Little Mountain Elementary Stop includes classroom visit and lunch with students!
12:40 p.m. - Arrive at Monticello Middle School Stop includes visit with administration, tour new media center, STEM, and music spaces.
2 p.m. - Arrive at Pinewood Elementary Stop includes visiting specialists and viewing an in-class science lesson.
3:20 p.m. - Tour of the town and snack at Community Center Tour includes narration from City Administrator Jeff O'Neill on the history of Monticello.
4:45 p.m. - Arrive back at Eastview Education Center
**Tour limited to 10 participants, registration will be taken on a first come, first served basis.
