The Events Committee plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of various events hosted by the Monticello Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Comprising dedicated volunteers, this committee is passionate not only about the Chamber itself but also about the monthly and large-scale events it organizes. Their responsibilities include event planning, theme selection, and securing sponsorships. Their coordinated efforts contribute significantly to creating memorable experiences for the community.

Ambassador Committee

The Ambassador Committee plays a crucial role as the welcoming face of the Monticello area. Their mission includes greeting new businesses, supporting existing members, and fostering goodwill. They actively participate in special events like business anniversaries, Grand Openings, and Open Houses. Additionally, they host Ribbon Cutting ceremonies to celebrate new members.

Ambassadors meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, at various Chamber Restaurants.

Royal Ambassador Committee

The Monticello Royal Ambassadors Program offers an exciting opportunity for young adult girls in our community. This program fosters community spirit, friendships, and personal growth. Local businesses generously sponsor these young ambassadors, encouraging their participation.

Monticello Chamber Royal Ambassador Program

Our young adult girls have the best opportunity to get involved with a program that promotes community spirit and pride. This program is filled with fun, friendships, and opportunities to grow, learn, and discover their potential. Many businesses within our wonderful community step forward to sponsor these young adults and encourage this opportunity for them. I'm talking about the Monticello Royal Ambassadors Scholarship Program.

These girls are the ambassadors for our Monticello community. They are involved in Riverfest, community grand openings and many other community events. They attend approximately 85 events throughout the year, and they represent our great community with pride.

Scholarships in the amount of $1,500 are awarded to up to 3 Royal Ambassadors upon completing their duties and reign. Additional items awarded to the Royal Ambassadors include Dress Allowance, Crown/sash, Poise, and Connections!

Girls between the ages of 16-20 years old are eligible to apply. Candidates must have graduated or are graduating from Monticello High School. Candidates/Royal Ambassadors must be willing to represent Monticello in a positive and friendly manner. Applications are available at the Monticello Chamber office, online at www.monticellocci.com. Girls, this is your opportunity to shine and make a difference! At least take the time to check out the opportunity! You owe it to yourself!
