Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the governor's executive order that prohibits gatherings of more than 250 people, the Monticello Chamber of Commerce & Industry is cancelling the event scheduled for Thursday, October 29, 2020. The Monticello Chamber of Commerce & Industry is committed to being a responsible community partner. We are looking forward to holding this event in 2021 as state regulations allow.
Thank you for your support and understanding. This decision was not made lightly but the public's safety is top priority.
The Monticello Chamber and Monticello Community Center are combining our Trick or Treat events again this year. Enjoy Trick or Treating down Walnut Street and Downtown Monticello at businesses with an orange pumpkin in their windows, then into West Bridge Park for more fun and then you are invited to stroll down the boardwalk under the Hwy 25 bridge to the participating businesses on the East side of Hwy 25. There will be Food available for purchase in West Bridge Park. All entries in West Bridge Park receive a 10 X 10 space and must stay within their area.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Dept. and the City of Monticello are concerned with the families crossing the Hwy 25 intersection. So we encourage using the walkway in West Bridge Park to safely move from one
side of Hwy 25 to the other.
Please respect our crossing guards when traveling around during the evening.
Businesses: Please register with the Chamber office by October 9 to be included on the map and to receive your pumpkin for your window. We expect approximately 2,000 participants.
Public does not need to register to participate, please come and enjoy the fun!
