Short legs. Big speed. Oktoberfest glory.
🐕 Divisions:
🐾 Corgi Division
🐾 Wiener Dog (Dachshund) Division
🐾 Open Short-Legged Division (All Breeds Welcome)
This division is designed for short-legged dogs that are not purebred Corgis or Dachshunds but still bring the low-rider speed!
📋 Eligibility Requirements:
Height Requirement
-
- Dog must measure 15 inches or less at the shoulder
- Height will be verified at check-in
Build Qualification
-
- Dog must visibly have a short-legged body type (long body/low center of gravity)
- Final eligibility determined by Race Director
Breed Restrictions
-
- Not limited to a specific breed
- Mixed breeds welcome
- Corgis and Dachshunds must compete in their designated divisions
Age & Health
-
- Must be at least 1 year old
- Must be healthy and current on rabies vaccination
- No dogs in heat permitted
Temperament
-
- Must be non-aggressive toward people and other dogs
- Event staff reserve the right to remove any dog displaying unsafe behavior
Handler Requirement
-
- Two handlers required (one at start, one at finish)
- Handlers must be 16+

Same 50-yard sprint
5–6 dogs per heat
Heat winners advance
